FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New York, NY—02/03/2025—In response to the changing economic landscape and its effects on non-profit organizations citywide and nationwide, New Life of NYC is taking strategic measures to ensure the sustainability and strength of its mission. To continue empowering youth through our five pillars of programming—academics, art, athletics, service, and spiritual formation—New Life will consolidate all programs and operations at its newly acquired and renovated headquarters located at 145 Ludlow Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
This decision enables New Life to align its footprint with current financial realities while doubling its commitment to the community where it first began. The Lower East Side location will serve as our central hub and a safe, supportive space for the teenagers we serve, ensuring they have the resources to develop their minds, bodies, and souls and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
While this consolidation involves difficult decisions, including closing our Brooklyn program site and the Upper West Side administrative office and staff reductions effective February 28th, it positions New Life for long-term sustainability. This move allows us to return to our roots and focus our resources where they’re needed most—right here on the Lower East Side.
New Life recognizes the impact of this transition on staff, community members, and, most importantly, the youth we serve. We try to ensure that no one is left behind during this process.
New Life remains dedicated to our mission and the young people who rely on us. Our community of supporters, staff, and partners has always been the core of New Life. Your commitment makes our work possible, and we are truly grateful for your ongoing support and prayers as we embark on this new phase
