FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New York, NY (November 7, 2025) – New Life of NYC has partnered with Hope for New York’s new pilot program, The Hunger Collective, to address the growing food insecurity crisis. This initiative connects more than 20 nonprofits, including New Life of NYC, to fresh meals and pantry items, ensuring food reaches those in need across New York City.
For many young people New Life serves, consistent, healthy meals are vital for physical health, academic success, focus, and emotional well-being. Through the Hunger Collective, New Life partners with organizations citywide to share fresh meals, pantry items, and resources that help young people and their families.
“Food insecurity affects how our youth learn, grow, and dream,” said Dr. Richard Hoffman, Executive Director of New Life of NYC. “By joining the Hunger Collective, we’re standing alongside partners who care deeply about helping our youth reach their full potential, mind, body, and soul.”
This partnership builds on New Life’s long-term commitment to supporting teens aged 12–18 through our pathways to success program.
With SNAP benefit cuts intensifying challenges for vulnerable communities, the Hunger Collective is a lifeline for thousands. By working with trusted partners, New Life of NYC is committed to addressing these urgent needs and bringing hope to the neighborhood we serve.
The Hunger Collective is more than a program; it’s a collaborative movement to tackle hunger and create a city where no one goes without a meal.
