Over the last 50 years, New Life of NYC has made an impact on teens and families all across the City. But the Lower East Side, is where it all began. That is why I am so excited about our brand-new location on Ludlow Street. Strategically located between historic Katz’s Deli and the newly named Beastie Boys Square, New Life of NYC is once again positioned for maximum impact on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
I am grateful for the hard work of our Board of Directors in making this happen. We have begun building out the new space and plan to begin site operations in early summer. The Two-Phase process will create, a Learning Center, Arts Corner, Game Area, Teaching Kitchen, STEM & Computer Lab, and even an Outside Garden.
We are creating a safe space for our New Lifers to grow in intellectual curiosity as they broaden their horizons and grow into the people that God created them to be. Will you join us in our mission of reaching teenagers on the Lower East Side?

From New Life Intern to Lower East Side Site Director: Embracing the Journey
As I reflect on my journey, it's impossible not to acknowledge the profound influence that mentors from New Life have had on my development. Their guidance has been a cornerstone in shaping my approach to leadership and has significantly contributed to my personal growth in areas like self-discovery, confidence, and empowerment.
Being part of the New Life family has been nothing short of transformative. I am deeply honored to have experienced such impactful guidance and mentorship. Now, as I move forward, I am driven by a desire to pay it forward, to equip and inspire the next generation of leaders. This aspiration is made possible by the unwavering support of our New Life supporters, whose generosity enables us to reach and uplift youth in New York’s inner cities.
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all who stand with us in this mission—a mission grounded in love, hope, and faith. Your support is the foundation upon which we build a brighter future for the next generation, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
Empowering New Lifers: From Personal Struggle to Purposeful Support
As a child, I grappled with feelings of inadequacy and questioning my worthiness of others' time and attention. However, through the guidance of supportive individuals and biblical affirmations, I learned to overcome these insecurities. Today, I am grateful for the reminder of my value and true worth in God. These experiences have also equipped me to empathize with and support the New Lifers I work with who face similar challenges.
I understand firsthand the internal battles they may be fighting and the importance of providing a safe and nurturing environment where they can discover their worth and potential. My journey has taught me valuable lessons in resilience, self-compassion, and the power of mentorship, which I now bring to our new lifers, guiding them toward a path of healing, growth, and self-discovery.
On Friday, February 23rd, New Life Hoops Basketball celebrated our dedicated New Lifers who joined us for eight weeks of enriching basketball clinics. This gathering not only thanked our participants but also aimed to unite our community, foster connections with fellow organizations, and mark the beginning of an exciting era for NL's Sports program. With goals met and spirits high, we look forward to refining our approach for future events, ensuring early team registrations and proper player placements.
A heartfelt thank you to the five teams, their outstanding coaches, and especially to the high school coach whose team clinched the championship. We extend our gratitude to our invaluable supporters whose unwavering dedication and generosity have made this program a reality. Your contributions have been instrumental in our success, and we are immensely grateful for your continued support. With your help, we have been truly blessed throughout this event and its planning process. Looking ahead, we are already laying the groundwork for an even more organized and impactful next event.
