New York, NY (June 25, 2025) — New Life of NYC has been awarded a $25,000 community grant through Hope for New York’s 2025 Pitch Night. This vital funding marks the beginning of a new chapter for our organization as we begin building out the kitchen for our Culinary Arts Initiative, a hands-on program designed to address food insecurity and open career pathways in the culinary arts.
The $25,000 grant will support the first phase of construction for our Teaching Kitchen, located at our new site on Ludlow Street. Once completed, this space will serve as the hub for youth-led cooking workshops, nutritional education, and workforce training — empowering teens across New York City with the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to succeed in the culinary industry and beyond.

Pitch Night is an annual event hosted by Hope for New York that gives partner organizations the opportunity to present transformative ideas and compete for funding to bring them to life. New Life was proud to stand alongside other incredible organizations and is excited to move forward with this next stage of growth.
